It’s a Serendipity Thing

In that way, you know the one, where you hear the same message at every turn, this was the final stanza of the Reflection in church on Sunday. (We visited Redeemer Presbyterian on the West Side–total props to them: so inspiring seeing God working among his people in NYC!) Anyway, here’s the end of the poem…

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
in blessings on your head.
–William Cowper

God has great things prepared for His children, not in a sad prosperity-gospel-kind-of-way but rather in a He-doesn’t-waste-anything-way. And friends, He plans to redeem it. His mercy and grace go behind and before.

Take heart, fellow-travelers.
